Product Details

DensDeck® ProFast™ Prime Roof Board is an innovative, lightweight roofing solution designed to enhance performance, efficiency and cost savings in roofing applications. Approximately 20% lighter than the 1/2” DensDeck® Prime Roof Board, it offers enhanced maneuverability, making it easier to transport, handle and install without compromising strength, durability or dimensional stability when installed in a properly designed roof assembly. Specifically engineered for mechanically attached roofing systems, as well as partially adhered assemblies, DensDeck® ProFast™ Prime Roof Board offers exceptional resistance to fire, wind uplift, punctures and hail. Based on testing conducted to date, DensDeck® ProFast™ Prime Roof Boards in single ply (partially adhered) assemblies have shown a 25-75% reduction in the number of fasteners needed.1

FEATURES AND BENEFITS

  • Lighter Board: Easier to handle, transport and install. Helps reduce physical strain and could speed up installation processes.2
  • Reduced Fasteners: Testing conducted to date has shown that this solution could help reduce the number of fasteners by 25% to 75% in single ply (partially adhered) assemblies.3
  • Truck Load Optimization: Could fit up to 25% more on a truck.2
  • Reduce Project Costs: Helps reduce material consumption and installation labor costs, helping to optimize project budgets and lower overall expenses.

CERTIFICATIONS

UL Classified logo with 'C' and 'US' indicators, signifying that the product meets safety standards in both Canada and the United States.

1. Based on FM testing with multiple roofing assemblies using #15 fasteners and 3” metal flat-bottom plates in April 2025.

2. Compared to 1/2” DensDeck® Prime Roof Board.

3. Compared to assemblies using 1/2” DensDeck® Prime Roof Board, specifically when the cover board is mechanically attached (adhered cover). The 25%-75% reduction in fasteners is based on FM testing with multiple roofing assemblies using #15 fasteners and 3” metal flat bottom plates.

4. Tested in accordance with ASTM C473 method B.

5. Tested in accordance with ASTM E661.

6. Tested in accordance with ASTM E96 (dry cup method).

7. Tested in accordance with ASTM C518 (heat flow meter).

8. Specified values per ASTM C1177.

9. Tested in accordance with ASTM C473.

10. When tested, as manufactured, in accordance with ASTM D3273, DensDeck Roof Boards have scored a 10, the highest level of performance for mold resistance under the ASTM D3273 test method. The score of 10, in the ASTM D3273 test, indicates no mold growth in a 4-week controlled laboratory test. The mold resistance of any building product when used in actual job site conditions may not produce the same results as were achieved in the controlled, laboratory setting. No material can be considered mold proof. For additional information, go to www.buildgp.com/safetyinfo.
